Living Beyond Fear: How to Wake Up from Life’s Bad Dream
Last night I had a bad dream. I twisted and turned for god knows how long.
I was worried and anxious. Those feelings were also a dream.
When I woke up I realized what happened.
Thanked God. It was just a dream.
Just imagine.
What if I told you it wasn't a dream but your life?
Wouldn't that be true? Don’t we live our lives like a bad dream? Worrying about all the stuff that may or may never happen? Only to find out at the end it wasn’t real. And then there's nothing but regret.
Regret why we chose to live from a place of fear. And why not from a place of love and trust.
This is perhaps the most important choice you can make in life.
A choice to live with fear or live with hope.
This has a direct impact on how you manifest yourself to the outside world.
When you lead at work, this choice determines how you will show up.
When you’re raising kids, this choice determines how they will show up.
I get it. It’s not easy to get rid of them.
These fears come from our environment, there’s always enough tragedy.
Or come haunting from our past, and there’ll always be something there too. And that’s all our mind needs to start manipulating and creating what if scenarios to turn our life into a bad dream.
How do you battle your own mind? Be present in the moment.
Focus. Not on your past or future but on the present.
It is how you live today that will define your future, not what you dread!
Remember this.
Life has already taken a million turns to bring you where you are today. Any one of those turns could have gone drastically wrong and altered your direction. And perhaps many did go wrong too, after all it’s life. But all these twists and turns make you the person you are today.
And who you are today is a decision that only rests with you. You can decide to be the person who shows up scared or be the one who shows up with courage.
The choice is yours!
